A new partnership-led development at Highbridge in Sedgemoor, will feature 123 affordable homes using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) entirely. Abri is delivering the homes at the Brue Farm development, in partnership with Keepmoat Homes and ilke Homes, on land provided by Homes England.

The development will feature a mixture of two, three- and four-bedroom houses with 60 homes available for affordable rent and 63 for shared ownership. The modular system used for the construction means entire sections of the home are built offsite and delivered to the location ready to be placed on the foundations. Using precision engineering, the homes are built in a much shorter time than traditional construction and have a lower carbon footprint due to a significant reduction in the amount of waste materials produced.
The homes will be built at ilke Homes’ 250,000 sq ft factory in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, before being delivered to Highbridge.
Brue Farm continues Abri’s development in the Sedgemoor District, having successfully delivered 17 homes at its Novello scheme in Burnham On Sea and with plans for 37 affordable homes in Bridgwater.
