An Investors in People Platinum accreditation – the award’s highest accolade possible - has been awarded to Abri, recognising its commitment to colleagues’ wellbeing, engagement, training, career progression and job satisfaction.
The award places Abri, a large housing provider that employs more than 1,600 colleagues across the south of England, among just 7% of employers that hold Platinum status globally.
Gary Orr, Group Chief Executive at Abri, said:
“I’m incredibly proud of Abri’s Investors in People Platinum accolade. At Abri, our colleagues are our greatest asset, and ensuring they feel supported and empowered is crucial to delivering excellent services to our customers. Every day, our dedicated teams embody Abri’s values and put our customers first. Their commitment enables us to fulfil our mission of building much needed homes and creating thriving communities. By investing in our colleagues and providing opportunities for them to grow and learn, I’m confident that we’ll be able to have an even bigger impact on our communities.”
Investors in People (IiP) is a globally recognised accreditation that provides organisations with a widely acknowledged benchmark for high standards, and over the last 30 years, they have accredited more than 50,000 businesses.
Among Abri’s top performing areas were having a clear purpose, strong leadership, and a commitment to community engagement and continuous improvement. Across its 1,600 colleagues, Abri achieved a 90% satisfaction rate as a ‘great place to work.’
The accreditation marks a great stride towards Abri’s Achieving Together strategy (2022-2025) where creating a great place to work is one of its key pillars. Abri has also retained its three-star employer rating by Best Companies, showing ‘world class’ levels of employee engagement this year.
